Our Story
After suffering the loss of our own pets through sudden illness and end of life care, we understand that the loss of a pet can be very emotional and overwhelming.
We found ourselves in this unprepared position when our Saint Bernard “Rocky” became suddenly ill at the young age of two and a half (2010).

Within a few days we were told there was no hope of recovery for him as he had kidney failure. We were given no option from the vets after the euthanisia but to carry him out and take him home. We found ourselves
having to dig a hole in the garden while still in shock as to what had just happened.
There has to be something better than this we thought...
Lula, Rocky’s best friend, also a Saint Bernard lived to the good age of 10. She lived a happy life and died suddenly at home. She was buried alongside Rocky.
Fast forward 10 years (August 2022) and again we were in a position where we our beloved German Shepherd “Sheeba” needed to be euthanized. We had tried everything
to keep Sheeba going but even with all the medicine her back legs were giving up and she was in pain.
We made the decision that this time we wanted to get Sheeba cremated.
It was the best thing we ever done.

We made the long journey with Sheeba in the car devastated about our loss and very upset.
Upon arrival we had our chance to say goodbye and spend time with her. When her cremation was over we received a phone call to say Sheeba was ready. This was an emotional time as a family as we really did not know what to expect. When we were handed Sheeba, we all felt a sense of happiness and comfort. We had Sheeba back again. We arrived devastated and went home happy.
This was the moment we knew that there was a need for a facility like this in the
Northwest of Ireland to cater for Donegal, Derry and surrounding areas.
We lost our beautiful Saint Bernard / Springer cross “Elvis” in March 2023. He was 12. We found ourselves needing this service again in such a short period of time. From such an emotional time, we found great support and closure getting our dogs cremated. Elvis and Sheeba stand tall on our mantlepiece in our home.
They are never far away.
